CHALLENGE 2

  • How can schools and learning enviroments for children and youth go global today?

In that lesson we have discussed all together what exactly Globalization and Internalization is. I consider that it has been very useful cause now I understand better the meaning of these terms which are implicit in the subject.

But answering to the question on the top, the teacher has provided us meaningful websites that are based in exchange programs with countries around the world.
I am pretty happy because as future teachers we have plenty tools to become global today. Websites such us “e-Twinning”, “Nordplus” and other students programs like Erasmus or Comenius are also fantastic opportunities to study abroad and to experience a different way of live which mean get the most advantages of it.

I think that these websites and portals make the classroom global. In fact, we can use these materials in English, in groups of two persons...It is a chance to become more open minded and of course is a way to improve the level of a language in the fourth skills (writing, listening, speaking and reading), to meet new people, to share experiences/hobbies and these exchange programs make children aware of the different cultures there are in the world that thet should respect.

If we talk to be global as a teacher role, I can say that we should have a positive attitude to the different children's nationalities, being interested in their culture, being tolerant, listening to people and also we should ask in order to get questions.
On balance, we have to try to create a good learning climax, to motivate students, respect their cultures and integrate them into the daily classroom activities.
